Sharpening Service

The Cutting Edge scissor service is of the highest standards and quality inspected to factory specifications. Our 14 point servicing system will restore your quality scissor to as new performance. Quality scissors are designed to be sharpened 5 to 10 times with some models designed for up to 20 sharpens. It's in your interest to get the best when it comes to scissor servicing.

The Cutting Edge invested the resources to obtain the same equipment that the Sharpline factory uses. In addition, Managing owner Frank Pate was trained and certified by Adrian Schlemmer, a world recognized master in the art of making Premium quality hairdressing scissors. Although we do not offer "in salon" sharpening do to the equipment, we use, we do offer quality "loaners" to our customers at no charge. We fit the loaned pair so that they will be close to the scissor that you are already used to using. Turn around time for local servicing is usually next day. For customers that mail us their shears, we service them and get them back in the mail to you within 48 hours of receiving them. Frank is authorized to train and certify new and experienced scissor sharpeners to the high standards required by Sharpline Scissor Pty, Austrailia.

We guarrantee factory quality servicing to all brands of high quality hair stylist scissors and shears. So if you get your scissors serviced by us, we'll make sure that you are happy with the results and that your investment is properly cared for. Our servicing carries a 30 day Drop and nick warranty. This way we can insure your complete satisfaction even if you damage your scissor yourself during the warranty period. Please contact us for details.

We would like to point out here that we can not service poorly made scissors and usually advise against servicing corroded scissors or severely damaged scissors. We also can not provide any guarantees for scissors previously unprofessionally sharpened.

How to send your scissors:

  • * Print this form and fill it out.
  • * Package your pair(s) of scissors in a padded envelope.
  • * Include a return address with your mailing, as well as a phone number.
  • * Include a check for the amount due. $35/per pair.
  • * If paying by Credit Card, we will call you on the number you provide for card details.
  • NOTE: Return Shipping is insured and at no charge to you! The item must be signed for so please send an address that is convenient for you.
